Tecnu Extreme® Poison Ivy Remedy

What is Tecnu Extreme®?
With Tecnu Extreme, Tec Labs "The Poison Oak and Ivy Experts" have created an entirely new formulation, added micro fine scrubbing beads to help remove the rash causing oils that are embedded in the skin, and added the itch relieving active ingredient Grindelia. It’s a one-step solution for people to use as a poison ivy remedy to remove poison oils and relieve itching if a rash has started.

How would you describe the texture of Tecnu Extreme?
The texture of Tecnu Extreme is similar to that of a standard facial scrub. It's a thick, creamy gel that has scrubbing beads, special surfactants, plus Grindelia and was formulated to be squeezed out of its 4 oz tube. This is in contrast to original Tecnu which is a liquid, pours freely and has no scrubbing beads. Like Tecnu, the product is to be rinsed off after application.

How is it different from Tecnu®, the original product for poison oak, ivy and sumac?
Over the last 27 years, original Tecnu has helped millions upon millions of people to avoid the dreaded rash. Original Tecnu shines as a cleanser to use before the rash starts. The new product was developed for workers and individuals that have a chronic problem getting the rash. Tecnu Extreme® gets to the root of the problem by removing the irritant "urushiol." Tecnu Extreme can be used before the rash starts to remove the oil that causes rash and itching. It can also be used once the outbreak has begun, as a remedy to relieve itching within seconds, and allow the healing process to begin unimpeded.
